Dear friends of the gallery,
We are glad to announce our participation at the Art 39 Basel and would be delighted to see you at our booth (Hall 2.1, D3), where we present new works by the following artists:
Rita ACKERMANN, Francis ALźS, Michael BAUER, Willie DOHERTY, Zilla LEUTENEGGER, Jorge MACCHI, Teresa MARGOLLES, Duncan MARQUISS, Fabian MARTI, Claudia & Julia MÜLLER, Adrian PACI, Melanie SMITH, Javier TÉLLEZ, Andro WEKUA, Artur ŻMIJEWSKI.
For the first time Adrian PACI (1968, Albania) will show a monumental piece from the Pasolini series „Il Fiore delle Mille e Una Notte“, painted directly on an old wooden reel with a diameter of two meters. His most recent film „Centro di Permanenza temporanea“ will be presented in „Shifting Identities“ in Kunst-haus Zürich, which will open during the Art Basel on June 4th. Andro WEKUA (1979, Geor-gia/Switzerland) is also participating in the same show with the installation „Wait to Wait“. Parallel to Art Basel, you may find time to visit Andro Wekua’s solo show in Le Magasin, Grenoble. Claudia and Julia MÜLLER (1964/1965, Switzerland) have done new works in connection to their solo show at the Bonner Kunstverein. From Javier TÉLLEZ (1969, Venezuela) we will show a series of photographs that he did during the shooting of his latest film „The Letter on the Blind for the Use of Those Who See“ which was very well received during this year’s Whitney Biennial. At our booth we will present a large collage bet-ween plexiglass by Rita ACKERMANN (1968, Hungary), from the series which is exhibited now in the Whitney. On this occasion, an excellent artist book „Under Pressure from 2006 to 2007“ was recently published. In addition she will also show three new drawings. Teresa MARGOLLES (1963, Mexico), wellknown for her radical subject, will be showing for the first time works on canvas. Michael BAUER (1973, Germany) produces for Art Basel a new ensemble of sculptures and smaller paintings.
On a flat screen we will be showing video works of our artists.
