Eva Nielsen: Alluvion

Following her exhibition at the Fondation Bullukian in Lyon, Eva Nielsen now presents her show at the Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud. Conceived as a travelling exhibition, Alluvion is the result of a residency and a journey the artist undertook between Anjou and the Rhône regions.

 

 

Eva Nielsen drew inspiration from the physical distance between the Rhône, home to the Fondation Bullukian, and Anjou, where the Abbaye royale de Fontevraud is located. During the summer of 2024, the artist embarked on a road trip— an artistic and spiritual odyssey—between these two regions, drawing inspiration from their landscapes. Her new works are filled with mysterious panoramas where reality seems to break down, only to reconstruct itself in sedimented reliefs with sandy textures, like imprints of geological time.

 

The exhibition runs until September 21, 2025.
