Overview
For her upcoming solo exhibition at Galerie Peter Kilchmann in Paris, Valérie Favre will present a new cycle of works centered on the theme of Métamorphose — transformation in myth, nature, and memory. The exhibition will bring together painting, sculpture, and works on paper, through which Valerie Favre explores allegory and storytelling as ways of navigating the threshold between the real and the imagined.

Structured in four interconnected chapters, it will include: Lapine, a new series of paintings shown with plaster sculptures and an earlier work ; Atelier champignons, a fable of passage inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses; Stillleben, poetic still lifes including Hugo Ball with Mask; and Les Petits Théâtres de la Vie, works on paper evoking fragile, intimate worlds. Favre also looks back to seminal motifs in her oeuvre—such as the Lapine, Hugo, and Les Petits Théâtres de la Vie—which have been central to her practice over the past twenty years.

The exhibition runs until December 19, 2025.
