Unlike in 2007, the exhibition was structured by focal themes. Based on the question of which overarching trends and artistic issues can be observed, six focal themes were defined that have increasingly played a role in the work of contemporary art in recent years: "Yesterday in Today," (social, virtual, institutional) "spaces," the "supernatural," the limits and extensions of the medium ("medium as material"), "narrativity," and "interconnectedness" are centered in the show as possibilities for consideration.
