We are delighted to announce that Leiko Ikemura will participate in the Bangkok Art Biennale 2026, Angels & Mara, one of Southeast Asia's leading international exhibitions of contemporary art. Taking place across Bangkok from 29 October 2026 to 28 February 2027, the Biennale brings together artists from around the world to reflect on the complexities of our time through the theme Angels & Mara. The 2026 edition is curated by an international curatorial team led by Prof. Dr. Apinan Poshyananda, alongside Adulaya Hoontrakul, Rémy Jarry, Kulapat Yantrasast, and Melanie Pocock. Ikemura's poetic practice—exploring the interconnectedness of humans, animals, and nature through painting and sculpture—resonates deeply with the Biennale's exploration of vulnerability, transformation, and coexistence.
