Shiva Gunya Patil lived in a small village called Padvan near Lanja on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. On day soon after marriage his uncle brought him news of vacancy in Bombay. The only way to communicate with his wife was trough postcards. Both went about their work each day, in constant conversation with each other in their thoughts. Shiva listen to his wife while he worked the machines.
